Court Iran maintains five years cell for British

dubai - The highest court in Iran has ratified the five-year imprisonment for a British-Iranian woman. This was announced by the British wife of the woman on Monday.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was arrested in April 2016 when she wanted to leave the country. According to her husband Richard Ratcliffe, she was sentenced on the basis of 'secret charges. 'He said Monday that his wife was still not heard on the basis of which charge she was convicted. 'Nazanin has been told this week that her last job has been rejected and that her five-year custody will remain', he said.

The woman is project manager at the Thomson Reuters Foundation charity and was together with her daughter of two in Iran. The child is housed with family in the country.
