Controversial Tokyo governor resigned

- The governor of metropolitan Tokyo, Yoichi Masuzoe, Wednesday resigned.

The departure of the controversial minister, according to The Japan Times another setback for the preparations for the 2020 Olympic Games in the Japanese capital.
