'Consultation about Puigdemont in the Netherlands'

berlin - German and Spanish prosecutors meet in the Netherlands about Carles Puigdemont, the former prime minister of Catalonia. According to sources of the Spanish newspaper El País, the meeting would take place at Eurojust, the European Union (EU) legal organization based in The Hague.

The newspaper reports that Spanish prosecutors want to prove that there is enough land to deliver Puigdemont because of rebellion. A German court ruled earlier that the separatist leader can not be transferred to Spain for that offense. The meeting would take place on Wednesday or have taken place.

The Germans arrested the former prime minister of Catalonia last month near the Danish border. He was traveling from Finland to his residence in Belgium. Puigdemont may await the settlement of the extradition procedures outside the prison walls.
