kinshasa - The government of Congo has no money for the organization of elections this year. The government has calculated the capital Kinshasa that the elections will cost 1.7 billion euros, and that simply is not, said Finance Minister Pierre Kangudia Wednesday.

The state budget of the country about sixty times larger than our country was in 2016 EUR 7.5 billion (Netherlands 260 billion). The elections actually had to be held last year, but were postponed due to organizational problems until this year. At least that was the arrangement made by the government of President Joseph Kabila with opposition leaders.

But according to the Minister of Finance does not make it happen. The state has income less than expected, partly due to falling commodity prices such as copper and oil. Delfstofrijke in the east of the country prevails anarchy and looting gangs many years eg ore coltan used for mobile phones.
