Conduct Internet companies against hate
brussels - Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google and Microsoft have signed to fight hate messages on the Internet. Illegal hateful content and incitement to violence must therefore be removed within 24 hours of internet.
The Internet companies and the European Commission have agreed on here. Other social media and online platforms have joined the Code of Conduct.
The Parties agree that hate messages have a negative impact.,, Social media is unfortunately used by terrorist groups to radicalize young people and racist violence and hatred spread, '' said EU Commissioner věra jourová (Justice).,, This agreement is an important step forward to ensure that the Internet remains a place for free and democratic expression.
