Companies VS turn away from a weapon lobby

World February 24, 2018 20:06

new york - More and more companies are breaking their ties with the American National Rifle Association (NRA). The NRA is under attack because it continues to make short work with people who advocate stricter weapon laws, after the shooting at a school in Florida last week. More and more companies are breaking with the NRA, such as insurers, car rental companies, a large moving company. On Saturday Delta Air Lines and United Airlines joined.

In a tweet Delta asks the NRA Saturday to get its information from the NRA website. In addition, members of the arms lobby no longer receive a discount.

NRA president Wayne LaPierre mentioned earlier this week the current outrage after the Florida shooting 'a shameless campaign' of the political elite. The club aims to prevent the 'fundamental right to have weapons' being affected. That right to own a weapon has recently become more and more debatable in the United States, right after 'Florida' where a boy shot seventeen people. Many argue for at least stricter rules for buying firearms.
