'CIA boss met Kim Jong-un secretly'

washington - The American CIA director Mike Pompeo secretly met Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea. During the meeting, which took place in the Easter weekend, a possible summit between the North Korean leader and the American president Donald Trump was discussed.

The Washington Post brought out the news and relied on two anonymous sources who knew about the trip. Pompeo is the highest-ranking American official who so far has met Kim Jong-un. The CIA boss is the main candidate to succeed the dismissed Rex Tillerson as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Pompeo had to check whether the regime in Pyongyang wants to enter into a serious conversation with Trump. According to him, that is the case, but the country has not yet made preparations to hold a summit at one of the intended locations.
