aleppo - The horrors of the Syrian Civil War again strikingly portrayed. Campaigners against the regime of President Assad spread photos of children swimming in the streets of the ruined Syrian city of Aleppo in a water-filled bomb crater.

Aleppo has been the scene of heavy fighting between insurgents and government forces. In the part of town that is still held by the rebels, life is estimated to have about 250 000 people. The Russians performed with bombing against insurgents against Assad.

The photos were distributed by the Aleppo Media Center (AMC), a local Syrian media organization that is affiliated with the opposition. The same organization also released the controversial and iconic images of the dust-covered Syrian boy Omran out.
