Charles Manson hospitalized

los angeles - The infamous US mass murderer Charles Manson, who is serving a life sentence in California, is seriously ill. Manson, who is now 82 years old, was taken to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Manson gathered in the sixties a group of people around him as 'Manson Family. 'The charismatic ex-convict gave-mostly female- followers to murder a total of seven people.

Even Hollywood actress Sharon Tate, at that time heavily pregnant, was killed with sixteen stab wounds.

Manson was originally sentenced to death but his sentence was commuted to life after the California Supreme Court abolished the death penalty.

Authorities in California would not comment on the report concerning the privacy of Manson.
