Chaotic protest at parliament Moldova

- At the parliament building in the Moldovan capital Chisinau is Wednesday chaotic protests erupted. After the majority of MPs had given her blessing to a new government led by newly elected Prime Minister Pavel Filip, an angry mob stormed the building. The riot police responded with tear gas, among other things, reported Russian media.

At the entrance created the necessary scuffle, was shown on images from the Russian channel RT. A number of protesters were arrested. It took the police struggling to keep the group.

Thousands of opponents of the new government have stood with flags for the parliament to demand new elections. The impoverished country between Romania and Ukraine is since October of a deep political crisis. A major corruption scandal, with about a billion dollars disappeared from the three largest banks, took then prime minister Valeriu Strelet the head.

The new prime minister of the former Soviet republic was minister in the previous cabinet. He is regarded as pro-European.
