Cell for father who heavily abuses child

memmingen - A court in Memmingen in Germany sentenced a 37-year-old father to six years in prison for shaking his half-year-old daughter so severely that she became severely handicapped.

The child has a brain haemorrhage and is blind, legs and arms can no longer move and will never be able to talk.

The father had shaken the little Laura out of anger because she did not want to stop crying at night. He was convicted of inflicting severe bodily harm.
