dar es salam - The captain of the ferry that capsized on Lake Victoria on Thursday is arrested in Tanzania. President John Magufuli said in a televised speech on Friday evening that the captain was not on board at the time of the accident. He would have left the helm to someone who was unauthorized.
Magufuli also said he had ordered the arrest of the ship's operators, which was probably overcharged.
