ottawa - The recently inaugurated Liberal government of Canada has been praised for its approach to immigration and environmental problems, and there is probably a reform of a very different order from. In the Canadian national anthem a phrase is changed so that the important role of women in the country is confirmed.
The MP Mauril Bélanger has filed a bill in which the song O Canada a phrase about 'Sons' is changed to 'everyone.',, An ode to all women who have fought for Canada to form what it is , said Bélanger.
The national anthem O Canada is sung since 1980 and has since been a thorn in the side of many women. Women's organizations have more than once tried to intervene, the newspaper The Guardian.
