welzow - Environmentalists have sat trains with coal for a power plant at Cottbus in eastern Germany held back by occupying the tracks.

That informed the activists and the Vattenfall energy company.

Friday occupy about 1,600 activists from several European countries including the Netherlands, though a nearby lignite mine in Welzow. They want an end to the lignite mining and power generation lignite.

Vattenfall had already shut down as a precaution activities in the mine on Thursday. The power plant has provisionally enough coal in stock. To get out of those reserves is electricity or reduced.
