brussels - Many inhabitants of Brussels went Wednesday morning walking to work. Several metro and bus lines do not run or not according to the timetable. The streets are more cyclists than usual to see.

Commuters and city dwellers who pack the car, encounter the usual daily traffic jams. Rue de la Loi, a major thoroughfare which Maelbeek Metro Station is located, is closed to traffic. The investigation into the attack on the station is still ongoing.

The capital was quieter than usual. Virtually all schools classes have resumed but remains close to the Free University of Brussels. Various European institutions, but also banks and other companies have asked their employees to work from home.

Stores that closed their doors Tuesday, Wednesday again making preparations to open. Two offices remain closed from IKEA.
