Brussels on ramp with London

- A group of European parliamentarians is in danger of voting against all agreements with the British because the United Kingdom is too vague about EU citizens' rights after brexit.

That is what the NOS reports on the basis of a letter from Liberal foreman Guy Verhofstadt and signed by the group presidents of all major parties.

The fundamental rights of citizens are insufficiently guaranteed, the group believes. 'We will never agree that rights will be reduced retroactively', stated in the letter.

'We have put our sentences on an ambitious and progressive withdrawal agreement and we wish to make it clear that sufficient progress has to be made before determining how EU-UK relations will look in the future', write the European parliamentarians.\n  \n   \n    \n    \n   \n   \n   \n      \n   \n     Guy Verhofstadt\n    \n   \n     Photo: EPA

The European Union is negotiating with the United Kingdom on the withdrawal of the British from the partnership. The deadline for those negotiations will expire on March 30, 2019. \u0026 nbsp;
