Brussels increases pressure on Poland to rule

brussels - The European Commission has given Poland until Monday the time to dispel concerns about the Polish law. Brussels include concerns about the appointment of judges to the Constitutional Court and introduced laws that curb the independence of this court.

In January, Brussels opened an investigation because there are strong suspicions that the new laws undermine the rule of law and democracy in Poland. The move Wednesday is the next step in the procedure.
