Brussels funds for Turkey deal

brussels - Turkey can count on money for some projects to improve the care and situation of particularly Syrian refugees in Turkish camps. Tuesday was the European Commission known to release 110 million from the established European-Turkish migration fund.

For food, health care and care for returned migrants from Greece to Turkey is 60 million euros. 50 million will go to humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees in Turkey. This brings the total amount of EU migration fund so far at 187 million euros.

EU and Turkey in March agreed to jointly tackle migration issues. The EU said initially three billion euro for projects to assist refugees in Turkey. The EU the same amount also held out the prospect for the coming years.
