Brussels Christmas continues

brussels - The Christmas Market in Brussels continues, but the hours are shortened and there are additional safety measures. That the mayor and aldermen of Brussels decided on Friday in response to the high threat level in Belgium.

The annual event in the city center of the Belgian capital, called Winter Wonders, officially Friday at 17. 30 hours from start. This weekend Winter Wonders is open from 12. 00 to 20. 00 pm and on Monday from 12. 00 to 21. 30 hours. Originally, everything would be open between 11. 00 and 22. 00.

Police and private security firms will patrol. There are checks and body searches to ensure safety.

Everything is ready : the ice rink at the Place de la Monnaie there is, the approximately two hundred chalets are there and the Ferris wheel is rigged. Winter Wonders, which attracts thousands of visitors, will last until January 3rd.
