Britons found dead on Matterhorn

rome - Two Britons are while climbing the Matterhorn, on the border between Switzerland and Italy, died. Their bodies were found Saturday at 4000 meters altitude, on the Italian side of the mountain.

The Italian news agency ANSA reported that the two are suspected of being frozen to death. The climbers had asked for help by telephone Thursday. They were caught in a snowstorm.

The Matterhorn is with a height of 4478 meters one of the highest Alpine peaks in Europe.
