British royals not to World Cup Russia

- Members of the British royal family and British ministers stay at home during the World Cup, which will be held in Russia in June and July. This was announced by British Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday, along with a series of other measures, such as the expulsion of 23 Russian diplomats.

The reason for the British government's decision is to poison Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia. London thinks Russia is behind the attempt to kill the former spy. He was found unconscious on a bank in Salisbury with his daughter on Sunday. The two were poisoned with a nerve gas.

May spoke Wednesday of Russian state aggression. Among other things, she wants to suspend high-level consultations with Russia for the time being, but not to sever all ties because this is not in the interests of her country.
