British princes grieve for dead polar explorer

london - A British adventurer who wanted to cross Antarctica alone without help, did not survive the journey. The 55-year-old polar explorer died in a hospital in the Chilean city of Punta Arenas by organ failure, as did his wife on Monday.

Prince William (33) and his brother Harry (31) mourn the death of 55-year-old Henry Worsley. They have lost a friend, let it be known to the princes. They were patron of the trip to Worsley wanted to raise money for war veterans.

Friday had Worsley, a former officer, after 71 days and more than 1400 kilometers, asked for help. A rescue team picked him up, and he was taken to a hospital. Worsley suffered from exhaustion and dehydration.

The father of two children had already passed the South Pole and temperatures of minus 44 degrees defied. He still had 50 kilometers to go, to follow in the footsteps of the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton.
