Looters keep their homes in the waters around Indonesia and Malaysia in recent years. There, during the Second World War fierce fighting between the Japanese, and the British, Americans and Dutch. Many navy ships were lost with man and mouse. The shipwrecks therefore count as sailor graves, but plunderers salvage the sunken ships to sell them as old iron.

Three Dutch shipwrecks also disappeared in this way. Divers discovered a few years ago that the wrecks had been removed. The wrecks were probably brought to the Indonesian Brondong. De Telegraaf spoke with people who worked on the demolition in Brondong and found physical remains of people on board.
