British hooligans riots by Lille
- French police on Wednesday again clashed with hooligans in Lille. The police dropped tear gas to disperse hundreds of English soccer fans. Earlier in the day attacked rival hooligans in the northern French city already difficult each other and the police.
Tuesday took the police in Lille ten football fans along for questioning, French media report. Among them were at least four Russians. Russia lost Wednesday in the northern French city of Slovakia. Also many English fans have gathered in Lille, because England Thursday in neighboring but smaller Lens play a European Championship match.
The disciplinary committee of UEFA Football Federation has threatened to disqualify the Russian team as supporters misbehave again in French stadiums. Saturday dozens were injured when Russian and English with each other fist went in Marseilles.
