British Airways raises an alarm about data fraud

- The British airline British Airways (BA) is hit by a large data rate. Hackers grabbed data on 380,000 payments by customers, reports British media.

The hackers had anticipated on information about people who booked between August 21 and September 5 via the website or mobile app. According to BA, customers do not have to fear that their passport data or travel details have fallen into the hands of the cyber criminals. They may have access to 'personal or financial' information. The security problem on the website has now been solved, the company says.

The police have been informed. The company comes into contact with the victims. 'We advise customers who think they have been affected by this incident to contact their banks or credit card providers,' the airline said.
