Brill digitizes archives Christiaan Huygens

- Scientific publisher Brill working on digitizing the personal records of Christiaan Huygens. The notes of the seventeenth century eminent mathematician, physicist and astronomer go on diverse subjects, of course-related observations to observations about music.

Huygens published studies on, among other mechanics, optics and probability. However, the Dutchman is best known as the discoverer of the rings around the planet Saturn and the inventor of the pendulum clock.

Brill works for digitization along with the University of Leiden, the archive has under management. The documents will be made available online to students and scientists. Examination of the archive now often takes place through books written on the pieces.
