Bouterse blocking process December Murders

- Surinamese President Desi Bouterse blocks the resumption of December Murder process by invoking national security. Commissioned by the Surinamese Minister of Justice Wednesday.

Bouterse was Wednesday behind closed doors in conclave with the parliament. He informed the parliament to give more information about the constitutional crisis which, according to him, Suriname has plunged.

According to the Justice Minister, the President does invoke Article 148 of the Constitution. That gives the government the opportunity to stop proceedings when national security is at stake.
