Body of newborn baby found in toilet of airplane

soekarno-hatta - The cleaning staff of airline Etihad Airways found the lifeless body of a newborn baby in the toilet of a plane on Saturday. They made the terrible discovery after the plane landed at the international airport of Soekarno-Hatta in Indonesia.

Not long after the discovery, the aviation police arrested a 37-year-old woman at the airport on Saturday night. She had given birth to a boy during the flight from Abu Dhabi to Jakarta. She had decided to leave the newborn child in a garbage can in one of the toilets on the plane. This reports The Jakarta Post.

The woman was identified as H., a resident of the Indonesian city of Cianjur. She admitted that it was her baby, which was the result of an extra-marital relationship with her employer in Abu Dhabi.

'Of course we have to investigate the matter even further,' says Mirzal Maulana, head of the police. Whether the baby was stillborn or has lived, is still unknown.
