kabul - Two attacks in Afghanistan have sat at least twenty people killed. Most were civilians. There were dozens of wounded.

In the capital Kabul, a suicide bomber detonated a bomb at the Ministry of Defence. Doing so would have fallen twelve people, including two soldiers. In Asadabad, capital of Kunar province, killed a man on a motorcycle bomb attack on a tribal elder. In addition, eleven were killed. Both attacks were the work of the Taliban.

Next week will resume peace talks with the Taliban government of Afghanistan backed by the West. But the Islamic guerrilla movement has rejected those calls so far.
