brussels - British former prime minister Tony Blair comes to Brussels next week to discuss the main issues on the EU agenda. The European Commission announced Friday.

The 62 year old Blair performs Tuesday talks with committee chair Jean-Claude Juncker and his right hand Frans Timmermans. It is in line with expectations that the British referendum on a possible exit from the European Union (Brexit) is the main topic of conversation.

British Prime Minister David Cameron wants the EU to a number of requirements conformed so that he may perform during the referendum campaign against a departure from the EU. One of those requirements is that EU citizens must wait four years before they are eligible for benefits and social housing. It is however seen as discriminatory by many Member States.

The summit of heads of government in December, according to Union Minister Donald Tusk,, constructive 'talks about the British demands. A compromise is achievable according to him. Cameron noticed,, lot of good will to get out. ''

Tusk is ahead of the next EU summit in February to develop a proposal and submit it to the Member States. Prime Minister Mark Rutte said this week there to do everything to keep the UK in the EU.
