'Bill Cosby immediately in prison'

- Bill Cosby hears Monday what punishment he is being charged for drugging and abusing former basketball player Andrea Constand. If it is up to the prosecutors, he is taken to prison immediately after hearing the verdict.

TMZ writes that those involved insist that Cosby is immediately removed. The prosecutors wanted this already when Cosby was found guilty in April, but the judge ruled that he was released after paying a deposit of one million dollars (more than 850,000 euros). The former comedian did get an electronic anklet.

Cosby's lawyers try to keep him outside the prison doors during the period that they appeal. According to TMZ, this could take years.

Cosby was found guilty in three respects by a jury in April. In 2004 he dried up and abused former basketball player Andrea Constand. Cosby has a penalty of up to thirty years, ten for every crime. Cosby's lawyers immediately announced that they would appeal.

Constand would not be the only victim. A total of 62 women shared a similar experience, but the majority of these cases are already barred.
