Big fire on holiday island of Gran Canaria

The local authorities speak of a 'very aggressive fire' with flames of twenty meters high.

The Tejeda Parador hotel had to be evacuated because the flames threatened to lock the hotel, many roads on the island were closed.

Places like Tejeda, San Mateo, Telde, San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Santa Lucia de Tirajana are threatened by the fire.
