Berlin monument will face mask against smog

berlin - Since Tuesday morning the Victory Column monument in the center of Berlin wearing a face mask. Greenpeace activists climbed to the head of the 67-meter high monument in the square Grossen Stern to tie a temporary protection over the gilded nose and mouth.

Besides applying the mask, the activists unfurled a banner with the words 'breathlessly through the city,' the Berliner Morgenpost reported.
