Benefit applications US go up

WASHINGTON (AFN)- The number of first applications for unemployment benefit in the United States rose to 233,000 last week, from a revised 216,000 a week earlier. That reported the US Department of Labor.
Economists accounted for an average of 235,000 applications. The figure of a week earlier was adjusted from a previously reported 220,000 requests.
