zeebrugge - Twelve refugees were rescued Wednesday in Zeebrugge from certain death. The men were found in a truck where they have at least six hours at minus 25 degrees to a load of frozen bread layers. The truck would continue until Friday at the quay and then shipped to Norway.

Police were alerted by a distress call from someone who said to sit in a refrigerated transport. He talked about ' dead \'. The refrigerated transport was soon found in the port of Zeebrugge with nine adult men from Eritrea and three from Syria, which were hidden in a space of barely half a meter between the load and the roof.

One of them was transported to the hospital with hypothermia, where he was later discharged. The interrogations revealed that the refugees were smuggled into Belgium for transport.
