'Belgian' panda conceived

brussels - The female giant panda who lives in the Belgian zoo Pairi Daiza is inseminated. That made the zoo on Friday at the Walloon Mountains. Or Hao really is pregnant, is still two months known.

Hao and the male Xing Hui came in February 2014 with great interest to Belgium. The panda couple stay the zoo has therefore no harm. The animals may remain in Pairi Daiza fifteen years and the aim is to have to go for new pandaatjes.

Hao was this week twice artificially inseminated because she was in heat, according to the zoo. That's particularly because a giant once per year in heat and fertile at most three days a year.

First there tried to mate the couple themselves, but Xing Hui was too aggressive. Then decided caregivers and Chinese experts to fertilize the female artificial. Xing Hui is the sperm donor.
