- Islamic State (IS) is a Belgian publicly executed in the Syrian Deir ez-Zor.
The man with the Belgian nationality would be an 'own' IS-warrior. He wanted to leave the area without permission of IS. That sees the terrorist as high treason.
Hundreds of people would have been present at the beheading Friday, as Belgian media report.
