farindola - The 9-year-old Edoardo has ensured that two young children were able to survive in the disaster Rigopiano hotel in the Italian city Farindola. Edoardo, who lost both parents in the disaster, hugged them, sang songs and told them stories.

Ludovica Parete (6) and Samuel Di Michelangelo (7) were for two days under the rubble. Partly because of the help of Edoardo they were rescued last Friday. The two sat in a small room, without food or water, but with Edoardo Di Carlo. Who threw himself on to storyteller and offered a shoulder to cry on.

Edoardo sang songs from the favorite movie of Ludovica, Frozen. Just two days before the disaster fourth girl along with her parents and brother her sixth birthday, which she dressed as Princess Elsa.

'The three children grouped themselves in a small team and so they were able to overcome their fears together,' says the psychologist who accompanied the children after they were rescued. 'They are children, play is their way to express themselves. Playing together is the ideal way to deal with what was happening round about them, 'said Alessandra Pagnani.

After they were rescued, Ludovica asked rescuers if they already could eat her cookies. Which the girl had kept in her bag for on the way home. Edoardo was especially impressed with all the snow. 'Can we go skiing?'

Edoardo's parents are killed in the disaster. Ludovica's father, mother and brother survived the avalanche. The girl's father is the man who hit just after the snow wave alarm. Samuel parents are still missing.

The children are by helicopter transferred to a hospital in Pescara, where she is currently recovering. According to rescuers, they make it 'extremely well.'

The hotel was destroyed on January 18 by an avalanche after a series of earthquakes. Until now twelve bodies have been recovered far. Seventeen other people are still missing.
