Bannon tries to exorcise Trump riot

washington - The former top advisor of Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, tries to settle his conflict with the president. Bannon, in a statement to the news site Axios, makes critical statements with which he accused Trump's wrath.

Trump reacted fiercely to comments attributed to his former employee in the book 'Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House'. He would have criticized, among other things, the son of Trump, Donald Trump Jr., because of his participation in a controversial meeting with a Russian lawyer.

Bannon calls the presidential son in the statement to Axios 'a patriot and a good man'. The right-wing political strategist said his criticism was not focused on Donald Trump Jr., but on campaign manager Paul Manafort. He should have known that the Russians are 'fumbling and not our friends,' says Bannon.

The Bannon also expressed his 'unwavering support' for the president and his plans. He called Trump 'the only candidate' that the Clintons and their network could have beat.
