Bangladeshi professor murdered in the street

dhaka - Two or three men have sat in northwestern Bangladesh killed a professor in the street with knives. The police think the murder was the work of Islamist extremists.

Rezaul Karim Siddiquee was professor of English at the university in the city of Rajshahi. Two or three men boarded a motorcycle and attacked him with knives. Their method was similar to that in a series of other recent murders by extremists on liberal activists, said a police spokesman.
