Balloonists saved from power pole

bottrop - Six balloonists were rescued by the fire brigade on Sunday evening after they had been stuck with their hot air balloon for hours in a high-voltage pylon near the German town of Bottrop. Everyone was released with the shock.

The balloon collided with the mast at around 6:00 pm and was hanging at a height of about 75 meters. Just before it got dark, the power was removed from the pipe. After that, firefighters climbed to the basket under the balloon. They secured them after which the occupants could be brought down one by one with a cherry picker.
