Balearic raise " eco-tax " of 2 euros per day

- On the Balearic Islands introducing a special tax for tourists in 2016 . The regional government hopes 80 million a year to shake off the visitors to protect the environment in the context of sustainable tourism .
The new charge may increase in high season to daily 2 euros per person over fourteen years. This is the president of the regional government, Francina Armengol , Wednesday. The tax applies to everybody in the tourist accommodation , including cruise boats moor on one of the islands of Formentera , Ibiza , Majorca and Menorca.
