'Baby survives throw in ravine by father'

gaozhou - A Chinese man has been arrested because he pushed his newborn daughter from a ravine. The girl survived perfectly, after she hung twelve hours in the branches of a tree.

The man took the girl from a hospital six hours after her birth, put the baby in a nylon bag and threw her off a mountain, Chinese media reported. There she was rescued by firefighters, after the police received a phone call from worried hospital staff.
