Baby dies starvation beside deceased parents

dobele - Latvia is shocked by the tragic death of a girl of nine months. The baby was found next to her deceased parents, who supposedly died after an overdose. The baby died of starvation and dehydration.

In the house there were also three other children of the pair of four and five years old Latvian media report. They also were dehydrated and starved and treated in hospital.

Tuesday the police went to the house of the couple after the grandmother of the family had reported that they could not get in touch with her daughters. The rescuers found a horrible scene to. The two parents lay dead on the floor. The young girl was under the bed.

The mother of the family was last seen on December 27, and the police also assumes that she then died. That means that the children were locked up for a week long with their dead parents.

The Latvian police have expressed her disgust about the indifference of neighbors of the family. The window was open so it can not be otherwise than that people should have heard the children crying, said the police chief Ints Kuzis during a press conference.

Neighbors, however, say there is no evidence of the tragedy that had taken place behind the door of the apartment. Nobody would have heard children crying.
