Austria to extradite Ukrainian businessman

vienna - Austria to the wealthy Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Firtasj over to the US where he is accused of large-scale bribery. This has given a court in Vienna Tuesday.

Firtasj was in 2014 at the request of the US federal investigation FBI arrested in Austria. He arrived after paying bail of 125 million euros. America accuses paid to get a project in India, the businessman is the equivalent of over 17 million euros in bribes.

The businessman has interests in the gas sector, chemical industry, media and banks and was an ally of the ousted President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich. Austrian Justice Minister must give the final approval for the extradition.
