munster - Jens R., the attacker in the German city of Münster, had already noticed police before by aggressive behavior and vandalism. In his house, the police discovered, among other things, a disabled AK-47 submachine gun.

R., who committed suicide immediately after the incident, had been struggling with psychological problems for some time and would have made some suicide attempts. He originally came from Sauerland and led a withdrawn existence in Münster. He lived a few kilometers from the terrace.

The police are eagerly looking for the motive of the man who drove up a popular terrace with a camper van on Saturday, killing two people. According to German media, it is a 48-year-old industrial designer who was not known as an extremist. According to the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia, there are no indications that the attack has an 'Islamic background'.
