- Polish discus thrower Piotr Malachowski wants to auction off his silver medal from Rio to help a 3-year their midwives with eye cancer.

'In Rio I was fighting for a gold medal. Unfortunately, it did not manage to get it. But now I still get the chance to see the value of my silver paste to increase, 'the 33-year-old athlete writes in an emotional speech on Facebook.

The sick Olek Malachowski mother asked for help after his win at the Games. The boy was ill for two years, but doctors in Poland could not help him. The only place where he can still be treated, is a specialized clinic in New York.
