At least 347 dead after Lombok earthquake

- The death toll after the earthquake in Lombok is running extremely fast. The authorities reported 105 fatalities and 236 serious injuries earlier in the day, now the counter is 347 dead.

This is reported by the state press agency Antara on Wednesday. No data is shared about exact numbers of injured people. The fact that the death toll has become so much higher in a short period of time is the result of consultation between the heads of the different sub-districts in the disaster area.

As far as is known, no Dutchmen died in the quake that had a magnitude of 6.9 on the Richter scale.

All Dutch people who want to leave the affected Lombok and the Gili Islands have left or have a prospect of departure.
