- With help from the European judicial organization Eurojust seventeen valuable paintings stolen in Italy found in Ukraine and arrested the thieves. This reported the Eurojust based in The Hague Friday.

The works by Peter Paul Rubens and Andrea Mantegna were stolen from the Castelvecchio Museum in Verona in November 2015. The investigation into the theft was made by the Italian police. After five months, the perpetrators have been arrested and are recovered the paintings in Odessa.

Eurojust reported that the Italian investigation could not have been such a success without the cooperation of the Moldovan and Ukrainian authorities and the police and judicial authorities in Odessa and the assistance of Eurojust.

In Ukraine could find themselves still a lot of horn stolen paintings. They were captured during a burglary in 2005 in the West Frisian Museum. Four of the 24 missing works were recovered last month by Secret Service of Ukraine.
