Arrests in Turkey 'terror propaganda'

- Turkish police have arrested at least 22 people on suspicion of spreading terrorist propaganda,, '. That newspaper Hurriyet reported Wednesday. Among those arrested is a provincial leader of the pro-Kurdish party HDP.

The arrests were carried out in dozens of places in the western province of Izmir. One of the suspects is the head of the HDP Izmir. The party itself also made mention of the arrests and distributed a list of fourteen arrested party members.

The suspects were,, terrorist propaganda '' have spread to the funeral of one Dilan Kortak. According to authorities Kotak was a fighter of the banned Kurdish separatist PKK and she died in an anti-terrorist operation of the government. Her father denies this and says that his daughter was executed by the police.
